The Chigger Chronicles (4) |
Just returned from an amazing night at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ with my boys Jeff Hardee (my old HOSTEL INC./ SIK TWISTED SMILE drummer) and our boy Seth. We were there to see LORDS OF MERCY, SEKOND SKYN, and CYCLE OF PAIN featuring J.D. DeServio from BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. This was the first time that I had the chance to see SEKOND SKYN with their new singer Travis Neal, formerly of DIVINE HERESY, and I absolutely blown away and a little jealous that they found an amazing front man with an incredible voice and stage presence. SEKOND SKYN is here to play and they're not messing around! I actually got an advanced copy of their upcoming EP “The Rising Tides”, and it's going to blow some people away! The songs "Shards of Mirrors" and "Beneath The Waves" are absolutely amazing! Think I blew enough smoke up these guys asses? They were that good! Check them out at reverbnation.com/sekondskyn.
Also, it looks like my bros from A LESSON IN VIOLENCE might finally have it together! It appears that they’ve finally finalized their lineup with former DEAD LETTER BOX guys Dave Alexander on vocals and Tony Ortiz on drums, former SPLIT VISION shredder “Big Tim” Allen on guitar, and former VINTAGE LUST bassist Tony Ruccio on bass. They’re even threatening a debut live performance in, of course, North Jersey sometime in September. I’ll keep you posted on that! For now, you can “Like” them on Facebook and listen to their songs “Decimate”, “Chaos Consumes”, and “Burn Your Bridges”
Let's not forget that this Friday night (8/26) at The Brighton Bar in Long Branch, NJ, my bros RAHWAY and IN DISGUISE will be opening for THE BULLETBOYS. Yes, the hair band with singer Marq Torien, who did a pretty rocking cover of that song “For the Love of Money” back in the 80s.
Don't forget to listen to my internet radio show CHIGGER RADIO ON www.blogtalkradio.com/chiggerradio when Sebastian Bach joins me this week to talk about his new CD “Kicking and Screaming”.
