Hello Ruby, how are you doing today?
Good, our new CD has a good reputation and doing very well.

Were you in any other bands before The Roxydolls and what were the names?
I used to be a member of SWEET LIPS and THE ROXX CANDY.

We just received your latest EP “Rock’N’Roll Queen”. You guys really get down and dirty. Have you had any label interest?
Thanks a lot! We are just a SLEAZY ROCK'N'ROLL BAND! with some label interest.

What is your favorite track on the new disc?
Of course “SEX SEX SEX” this is the best party song!

What happened to your original vocalist?
I guess he's doing fine but the sad thing is that we no longer keep in touch anymore.

How is Chelsea working out with the band on vocals?
Great like magic!!!

What kind of glam scene is there in Japan?
Let’s see...very good.

What other glam bands should fans be aware of?
My favorite band is CATS IN BOOTS! And also PRETTY BOY FLOYD and any other bands that have glamour and pop they call SLEAZY ROCK. Of course my favorite band is THE ROXYDOLLS!

Did you take guitar lessons when you were younger?
Lessons are not necessary for a rockers, I learn the guitar on my own.

What kind of music did you listen to growing up?
CATS IN BOOTS, MOTLEY CURE, HANOI ROCKS, GnR, POISON, AEROSMITH, TWISTED SISTER, FASTER PUSSYCAT and all good looking and bad boys bands.

When did you start listening to glam rock?
I think about HANOI ROCKS and Z I G G Y days during my high school years.

Was The Roxydolls the original name for the band?
Only THE ROXYDOLLS!!!

What is your favorite guitar you own?
GIBSON "FUCKIN" Les Paul.

Have you played with any national acts?
None.

If you played in the USA what band would you like to go on tour with?
PRETTY BOY FLOYD and POISON but the most important things are the girls! Need a lot of girls. But we can never, never go tour with an alternative band. 

Were you influenced by the New York Dolls?
They were a huge influence with similar looks!

What guitarist would you recommend fans to check out?
Takashi "JAM" Ohashi.

Are you working on songs for the next Demo?
We already have a few songs that we are going to start playing soon.

You also sent a video for “Rock’N”Roll Queen”? It looks like you had a lot of fun making the video. If I come to Japan one day can I meet the girls in the video? Only kidding. Tell us about the making of the video. How long it took to make, any special experiences or stories you can tell us about the filming?
We would love to meet you! I think it took a half day for the filming. Everything was a very good experience; especially filming with the sexy girls was very exiting. That video was made for kids so that kids can watch.

Rodz - like a cute pet
Dee - the greatest supporting player
Vicky - useless younger brother
Chelsea - go-to Boss

Do you feel that glam/sleaze is making a comeback?
Yes!!! Of course I believe it is making a comeback.

Tell us the wildest thing that has ever happen to yourself when you were in the band?
Every live show is wild!!

What do you feel the future plans will be for The Roxydolls?
Keep a Rolling!!

Would you like to say anything in conclusion to our interview?
Let's hope and hang tough for 80's BAD BOYZ ROCK' N' ROLL boom and to all the rock kids!! Let's pump it up together!
