How has your image changed since Vampire Love Dolls and Dope?
Well, not a ton to be honest. One thing you can always count on with me is a band that has a strong image. The funny thing is that when I was in VLD, I had dread locks. I cut them off when I saw Dope for the first time because that was their thing you know? Then I ended up joining a year later… ha-ha…

Tell us what a day of recording was?
I feel so old saying this but it's funny. I'm doing vocals for the TLV album right now and it's so much easier to punch in now then when I was in VLD. Shit-we always recorded on tape! Ha-ha…

How is a day now recording with Trashlight Vision?
Fuckin' exhausting! With TLV I over see everything and well the fact that we went right into the studio the day after we got back from our UK tour. I want the album to have a live feel and what better way? You can feel the adrenaline and smell the Jack.

What was the first concert you attended?
Iron Maiden and Twisted SISTER changed my life that is for sure. I met JJ French from TS and he was such an asshole. Same with Iron Maiden, but Nikki Sixx was cool as hell. Now THAT IS A ROCK STAR!

You played both bass and guitar. What do you like better and why?
With bass there is less pressure, but with guitar there is more glory. All I know is that right now I hate recording vocals. Ha-ha…

As a young kid what did you collect?
Not much. My family didn't have much money. “Star Wars” and GI Joe. I'm making up for it now. I have one of the biggest “Nightmare Before Christmas” collections you have seen.

Do you remember what the first album you bought was?
The first one I stole was “Shout at the Devil” by Motley Crue.

Tell us what was the wildest thing that happened on tour?
Fuck! Have you read my tour diaries? There is always something new. But I'll say this. I signed my first testicle on this tour.

Do you like making videos?
Imagine someone video-taping you having sex and every time you are about to come they yell… “Cut!” And do that about 1,000 times from 8 in the morning till 4 in the morning. It may not be fun, but in the end-you look like you can fuck like a devil!

Tell us what a typical day of Acey Slade is like?
Man. Well, it always changes but here are some constants. Wake up, duh. Make coffee. Check Email. Make phone calls. Then there is about a 10 hour gap where anything can happen from signing testicles, to seeing mom, to recording, to playing a show. Then it pretty much ends with a cup of coffee and jacking off.

What is your favorite song to play live?
Ummm...that's tough. We have a song called “Screw Worm Baby” that I love right now. We also cover “It's So Easy” by GnR.

How did you come up with the name Trashlight Vision?
I wanted something trashy but not dismal. I think that trash, whatever that means to you, can be a means to an end. I'm more about encouraging people then discouraging them.

Who is another band that you like that many people don't know about that you would recommend?
We toured with a band called Plan A they were fuckin' awesome. Motorhead! If you don't own a Motorhead CD then you should die! Ha-ha…

What CD is currently in your CD player?
The UK Subs!

Tell us what we can expect live from Trashlight Vision?
We give 100%, 100% of the show. I don’t know a band like us really. It sounds so cliché but we just live to play live.

How long is your set and set list?
TOO DAMN LONG!! Ha-ha... that's from “House of 1,000 Corpses.” We try to keep it short. Leave people wanting more. I'm not into overstaying my welcome.

What does image mean to you?
You know what? One of the things I love about TLV is that we get Punks, Goths, and Rockers… even Skin's (not Nazis') at our shows. I would never judge someone for the way they look meaning if you’re expressing yourself. But if you’re a white-bread old-navy asshole well you can stick you head up a devil’s ass and look for a fire.

Will you be playing any New Jersey shows coming up?
YES! Next week we play with Wed 13 of the Murderdolls. I can't wait! I hope that between the two of us we can raise the Jersey Devil!

What can we see in the future for Acey Slade?
My magic 8 ball comes to 666. I'm not sure what that means, but I'll buy the ticket and take the ride.

I am going to mention a few words tell us what comes to mind.
