Bands Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MindswitchMusic?hc_location=timeline
On the night of June 14, 2014 my main focus was to photograph and review WRATH OF KILLENSTEIN at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ but upon arrival we were a bit early and had the chance to catch a band called MINDSWITCH. Typically anytime I show up at a venue to cover the headliner most of the time I like to see some of the opening bands.

You never know what’s in store and on this day MINDSWITCH absolutely killed it. The energy of the band blew me away. I really can’t mention any of the songs they did because I don’t know much about the band but I can tell you they sure made an impact on me. Vocalist Craig Addesso has a star quality likened to Ray West (SPREAD EAGLE) and vocally has mastered his art. John Nutile’s massive frame hits the bass lines in precision time with lead guitarist Anthony Cicillini slamming the strings with ear-piercing solos. Drummer Thomas Bickford has the perfect tempo that adds thunder to MINDSWITCH.

The main impact of the band is pure energy and the power of vocalist Addesso is overwhelming. I remember they did a slow melodic tune that showed Addesso surpassing any type of opening bar band out just making a buck. MINDSWITCH regardless of making the big time or not shows New Jersey still has quality talent for the future. Keep up the great work, the stars are looking bright. |
