The BLACK VEIL BRIDES invaded the Cleveland Agora on 11/16/14 to a capacity crowd and didn’t disappoint anyone in the audience.  BVB, who is currently on tour with FALLING IN REVERSE, SET IT OFF and DRAMA CLUB, started off strong with “Heart Of Fire” and took off at 100 miles per hour until they ended the night with “In The End”.  Throughout the evening Andy Biersack had the crowd eating out of his hands as he took command of the stage both physically and vocally.  The guitar playing of Jake Pitts and Jeremy “Jinxx” Ferguson were phenomenal during both guitar solos and double leads while the low end was handled exceptionally well by Ashley Purdy on bass and Christian “CC” Mora on drums.  BVB had a great stage show but didn’t really go overboard which was fine with this reviewer because they didn’t need to, they let their music and showmanship do the talking for them. This band is not a bunch of posers, they kick ass and take names which is lacking in this day and age in music and it was refreshing to see and hear these young men play music as it should be played.  It’s no wonder they are getting the attention they deserve. 

Throughout the night The BLACK VEIL BRIDES mixed songs from each of their four releases along with surprise renditions of “Rebel Yell” by BILLY IDOL and “Mother” from DANZIG.  While the other three acts on this tour fired up the audience it was easy to see why BVB were the headline act because of their musicianship and professionalism.  This reviewer has seen bands for over 40 years now and the BLACK VEIL BRIDES are one of the best bands that I have seen both past and present and would absolutely recommend any rock and roll  fan to catch them when they are in their town because I will…long live BVB’s!!!
