Blow that popsicle stand to hell the BLACK LABEL SOCIETY is about to invade, ripping, shredding and blowing a hole out the other side of your ass! With an unbelievable opening track like “Crazy Horse”, the song pulsates with power and Mr. Wylde can’t be held down a second without going off.

Another track that slaps your face from side to side is “Parade Of The Dead”; raw power is the entity and Wylde lifts your spirits with some tasty licks. The track is more in the vein of vintage BLACK SABBATH with a more pungent guitar slinging sound.

And you thought BLS didn’t have a sensitive side; check out the soft rocker “Darkest Days”. This is a good mix of OZZY with some SKYNARD thrown in.

Blast off “Black Sunday” shreds any typical trash out there. Wylde is overpowering with massive balls. This guy lays down for no one. This is pure ecstasy for metal fans and guitar prodigies.

With “Time Waits For No One” you would have never thought this was BLS. It’s a ballad that truly makes the grade. I know Zakk is known for his hard edge and biker look but if he comes out on stage in a tux I lose all respect. NOT! This is amazing and the soaring guitar work blows me away. Zakk makes magic on this one!

A couple more heavy-duty tunes with “Godspeed Hellbound” and “War Of Heaven” and BLS hit you again with a skyrocketing ballad called “Shallow Grave”. This is by far the best of the ballads on “Order of The Black”. Zakk’s piano skills can really hit home and it shows on this track. It’s coming, it’s coming… the “Chupacatra”, no not Chupacabra! It’s Zakk dabbling with flamenco guitar and it is pure instrumental pleasure.

“Riders Of The Damned” is a throwback to past BLS releases with heavy licks, throttling bass lines by John “JD” DeServio, Nick Catanese on rhythm guitar and the timekeeper Will Hunt. All are a destroying machine on this one.

Closing track, “January”, is an acoustic winter wonderland. Some of these track you would have never thought would be on a BLS release. Lots of ballads, some annihilating killer metal and above all a true guitar god named Zakk Wylde. Recommended!
