A prevailing manifestation of bleak sarcasm runs through the junk altered veins of mysterious one man malcontent BROWN JENKINS. An odd moniker to say the least, yet one that draws no obvious parallels in the mimicry cluttered black metal universe. A charmed cauldrons of those who stray from the beaten path (VOI VOD, SWANS, BETHLEHEM, BURZUM, etc.) but viciously utilizes the most arcane minor patterns to superbly maudlin effect, not to mention a transcendental quality mired in the murky swamps of the abyss.
Doest thou doubt my humble critique? Then bury your brain in the sonic excesses of “The Ash Eaters” or better yet “Forever Funerals” and see if you don't find yourself pining for the nearest implements of life extinguishing capability. Unique and elite sums up the funereal hypnotism felt when indulging in this most dire of audio nightmares.
