A few years back RockEyez reviewed BULLETRAIN”S “Johnny Gonebad” that seemed to have some potential and on the verge of making waves in Europe. The band is back with their new EP “Turn It Up” so let’s see how they've grown. “My Way” has some good harmonies and has that classic eighties sound that drew me to the band. The guitar work by Mattias Persson jumps out at ya this time around and moves it up a notch so that’s a plus.

The title track “Turn It Up” is a fast hard hitter that has the power to excite. I can see BULLETRAIN being compared to later day KEEL with some minor downfalls. The first two tracks are good but just missing the mark but they hit the nail on the head with their final track “Even With My Eyes Closed”, a slow ballad that shows diversity and makes BULLETRAIN a band to look out for in the future. I like the direction of the band but I think they need a little work to crack the big time. I still hear the potential especially with “Even With My Eyes Closed” which is a hot track.

  • Robert Lindell - Vocals
