I remember being exposed to COMBICHRIST in 2005 with their song "This Shit Will Fuck You Up". Since then, I've been a fan of their onslaught of aggressive industrial style.

Now it's 2010 and COMBICHRIST is unleashing Making Monsters' to the world. It seems such a short time since the release of "Today We Are All Demons" and I wondered if Andy and the gang would be able to come out with another solid album.

After listening to “Making Monsters” I have to say Andy LaPlegua, vocalist and headman of COMBICHRIST, is spoiling his fans. “Making Monsters” is a natural step forward from COMBICHRIST's last album and fans will be delighted to know “Making Monsters” is just as aggressive, hard hitting and offensive as COMBICHRIST's previous unleashing.

I was already in the COMBICHRIST spirit with the intro “Declamation”, a dark moody tune with a lady cursing up a storm. Love it.

And jumping into the fast beats comes the next track, “Follow The Trail Of Blood”, Andy's vocals are the harshest in this song and yet it sounds great with their signature vicious tones.

Next up is “Never Surrender” which undoubtedly will become a favorite for industrial radio stations and clubs. The song reminds me of “Get Your Body Beat” where you can dance to it but it's a lot harsher, so maybe you might be swinging fists on the dance floor!

Making Monsters” has its fair share of songs you shouldn't share with your parents like “Forgotten” and mind-tripping tracks like “Monster:Murder:Kill”. A lot of these tracks will most likely get the remix treatment in a future release so we won't be hearing the last of COMBICHRIST's fifth album.

If you're a fan of COMBICHRIST and their aggressive sound, “Making Monsters” will be a great addition to your industrial collection.
