Now this is something I like, first let me applaud Vision Metal Records in searching the globe finding that uncovered special band and bringing them to light. Small independent labels are making their mark finding these unbelievable bands and giving them a chance to be heard instead of getting the brush off or used by major labels as write offs. Vision Metal Records believe in what they sign and we congratulate them in finding spectacular bands such as EMERGENCY GATE.

These German metal masters have hit a nerve in my system making my body shiver and tingle all over. The hard-edge style is like drawing blood from a rock and lifting it up in victory or driving a nail through the heart, with echoes of James Hetfield -- METALLICA style vocals it all comes together to make a sensational sound.

The opening track is hard yet with the ringing of killer keyboards by Chris Rybak makes “Nightly Ray” a great opening track. Very rarely do you get to hear keyboards mixing with the raw sound that EMERGENCY GATE set out to deliver with precision. With the loss of bands like BRUTALIATOR from Sweden that have the same drive and sound as EMERGENCY GATE, we can look to the future with excitement and hope this band will not fade with time. The guitar work by CEM and Vladi Doose harmonizes effortlessly and give the mid-section full body.

You have to check out “In My Dreams,” a melodic ballad with searing guitars and what stands out in this song the most, are the background vocals by special guest female vocalist from past greats AEONS END Gaby Weihmayer.

You wanna rock, with the highlight song “Soulstreamer” get ready, it has the perfect balance of hooks yet still holding the vibrant hard-edge and the killer keyboard riffs that will be burnt into memory for years to come. I really love the vocals of CEM that is reminiscent of Stefan Karlsson BRUTALIATOR.

EMERGENCY GATE is one of those bands that have something that you just can’t put your finger on, but once you hear the CD you’re hooked. The diversity in music on “Nightly Ray” is fantastic, hard, soft, melodic and ripping. You pick it there’s a little something for all kind of styles.

E.G. does a cover of “Rock Me Amadeus” originally done by Falco and what a explosive cover it is, chilling!!! This is such an impressive CD no wonder why one of our favorite groups Scandinavian Grammy Award Winners MERCENARY asked EMERGENCY GATE to open for them on their tour.
