When it comes to extreme metal, it would be an understatement to classify GOREROTTED in such a category.  These UK natives have been putting out some of the most gory and bloody grindcore/death metal music since they have began and show no signs of stopping on their new 2005 release “A New Dawn For the Dead.”

GOREROTTED formed back in 1997 by Tim (aka Fluffy) and former vocalist Mr. Gore. They began gaining notoriety for their extreme live performances throughout London with their horror-laden lyrical content and imagery.  After recording their first demo “Her Gash I Did Slash” in 1998, GOREROTTED started to play shows in other European countries and eventually attracted attention from record labels. Dead Again Records from the U.K. signed the band and released their debut “Mutilated In Minutes” in 2001.

After enduring numerous line-up changes by 2003 GOREROTTED left Dead Again Records, and quickly got picked up by Metal Blade Records to release “Only Tools and Corpses.” Stronger than their previous releases, the band began to tour more than ever.  Aside from a headlining tour in UK and The Netherlands, they would share the stage with well-known death metal acts PUNGENT STENCH, VOMITORY, and CANNIBAL CORPSE throughout all of Europe.

2005 sees the release of their latest album “A New Dawn For the Dead,” which contains the most fine-tuned (yet nonetheless brutal) songs GOREROTTED has recorded to date. The guitar work of Tim (aka Fluffy) and Matthew (Robin Pants) grinds like a chainsaw as the rhythm section of Junky Jon (Drums) and The Wilson (Bass) puts it together like an all out relentless beating. But what really turns the heaviness up a notch are the vocals of Ben Goreskin, who resembles a hybrid of Chris Barnes (CANNIBAL CORPSE) and Mark “Barney” Greenway (NAPALM DEATH). Standout tracks include “And Everything Went Black”, “Nervous Gibbering Wreck”, and “Fable of Filth”.

GOREROTTED’s “A New Dawn For the Dead” is a must have for Grindcore and Death Metal fans all over the world, and worth checking out for those obsessed with imagery and lyrics pertaining to blood, guts, gore, and zombies!
