Well we finally have the new THE LOVECRAVE album here. RockEyez named their 2006 The Angel And The Rain CD in the top ten releases of that year and we have been waiting for a new release to hit the shelves.
Ah the sweet, sensational voice of Francesca Chiara sends shivers down my spine; not only is she sexy as hell but talented beyond belief.
The opening track “The Other You” begins with narration as industrial style keyboards enter the picture and the sensual vocals of Francesca take center stage. The song is classic and masterful with a killer chorus that will have you chatting for days. Unbelievable!!!!
I love the whispering vocals of Francesca as she brings each track to a climax. The guitar by Tank is as roaring as a machine gunner taking control. THE LOVECRAVE is like no other band you have ever heard with so many tools in their artillery, from the masterful lyrics to outstanding musicianship.
From start to finish THE LOVECRAVE have hit the knockout punch on each track. They also can bring sensitivity as with the song “Fade”. Francesca has the vocal essence of Stevie Nicks but with a little extra flair.
Check out the rocker “Get Outta Here” and tell me that it isn’t a great song. It has all the qualities of a #1 song and so do many of the other tracks. This is just a phenomenal CD. Man, this track will pump you up and the chorus is amazing.
I’m really not a fan of cover tunes but when it’s done with class and changes the feel of a song like THE LOVECRAVE does with MICHAEL JACKSON’s “Thriller” it’s more than memorable. Actually it’s not the vocals this time around that make the grade it’s the music from the midsection of Bob “The Machine” Parolin on drums and the bass lines Simon Dredo that brings the tune to life.
“Your Fire” changes direction a bit until The Tank gives a jolt of electricity. I really love this track which has a CURE feel with the keyboards.
Tell me you wouldn’t want to have Francesca sing you to sleep with the mellow track ”Leon's Lullaby”. She SHINES vocally on this one!!!!!
Let’s change a bit and give some kick ass rock on this one… “Tru Blood” has heavy mind-bending riffs by Tank and listen to Francesca rip on vocals. Fat, furious and hard hitting, (Say Away, Stay Away) damn that LOVECRAVE; another chorus of burnt memories. Tank goes off shredding here…
You know I wonder sometimes why a band would leave a track like “Outsider”
for last. This is my favorite track on Soul Saliva. It is above sensational with the keyboards mixing with phenomenal vocals and once again the writing ability of
THE LOVECRAVE is astonishing. This is like being on top of the mountain and soaring to great heights. YOU GOTTA HERE THIS ONE as well as the rest of Soul Saliva. PLEASE add this one to your collection for your own good!
