As Capitol Records recording artist MAE release their third album “Singularity” and hit the road with MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK, ANBERLIN and METRO STATION fans are coming in droves to check out this new sensation.

The new release has eleven high voltage tunes produced by Howard Benson who gave the boys some direction and energy to their songs. The opening track “Brink of Disaster” puts you in a tailspin; the magic is just pouring through your follicles shivering the hairs down your neck. You know how the cream rises to the top well these boys deliver the goods.

Their music reminds me of a band from the Eighties called NEW MUSIK who had a top twenty song called “Living By Numbers” back in 1979; back then, the music was called English Synthpop now it’s called Alternative Rock.

What’s nice about MAE they have the quality that modernizes so many past greats. Like back in the day, you knew the sound of CSN & Y, MAE has that distinctive sound that will make them stand out above others.

Dave Elkins’ vocals are simply put GOLD and with the pleasing backing vocals adding depth to their songs, the combination makes MAE a gem. “Singularity” is easy flowing and enjoyable with no growling or harsh vocals which I find is a downgrade for a band at times. I rather my kids listen to a band like MAE then screamo, which is more aggressive.

The element of soothing keyboards makes the songs powerful and AOR radio friendly. There basically is not a song on here take is a filler all are killer tunes that will have the kids snapping up the CD. The songs are positive and brilliantly written and the band really has nowhere to go except to number one.

Some of these tunes would make great songs for a soundtrack like “Release Me” is a song you would listen to just sitting in a park mellowing out. You know how some bands their CD is good but all the songs sound alike, that is not the case, “Singularity” it has it’s powerful times, it’s has it melodic moments and all the songs have full impact drive. APPLAUSE please!!!!!

Oh forgot check the driving guitar on “Rocket”.

Pick this one up for you and the family…
