The last Nocturnal Rites album that I've listened to was Sacred Talisman (1999) and I never got a chance to listen to any of their other releases until now. I was happy to know that Nocturnal Rites is still alive and kicking. On top of things, they have released one kick ass album.

New World Messiah still has their unique epic, sound and Jonny Lindkvist fits perfectly as vocalist into the mix. Many of the songs are catchy and some times, I get the songs stuck in my head. The songs are not overbearing in emotion like some power metal bands that I have heard in the past – this album hit it just right . Excellent guitar solos, fast beats and great vocals (there I go again with the vocalist). My favorite tracks are “New World Messiah” and “Against the World,” and I assure you that this CD will be spinning in my player for quite awhile. If you think about checking out Nocturnal Rites, pick up this album. Rock On!
