It was nearly 11 years since the last RATT release which was self titled and spent 1 week on the Billboard Top 200 barely peaking at number 160…For the next 7 years following RATT continued on with JIZZY PEARL singing lead but didn’t record any new material with the Bobby Blotzer and Warren Demartini who were the only two original members remaining at the time while Stephen Pearcy recorded a few sold records toured solo and even had his own version of RATT until the courts stopped him…

Late 2006 he rejoined the band and they did touring throughout 2007-2009…

Forward to 2010 and here we are with their highly anticipated release “Infestation” and I will review each track

1)”Eat Me Up Alive”-The albums opening track a little heavier but still melodic… RATT fans will indeed dig this one…The guitar playing is great…

2)”Best Of Me”-This is the first single off of Infestation…This is classic Stephen Pearcy indeed…Perfect Arena rocking song that radio stations will hopefully not ignore…

3)”A Little Too Much”-This track reminds of the Invasion Of Your Privacy/Dancing Undercover era…Think of their song Can’t Wait On Love…Another great song…

4)”Look Out Below”-You sound like you are gonna be fooled that the song is modern sounding when it starts but it stays in the hard rock vein…

5)”Last Call”-Another killer arena rocker…You couldn’t ask for more

6)”Lost Weekend”-The beginning of this song has the feel to Lack Of Communication…Excellent guitar riffs…Great drumming…

7)”As Good As It Gets”-The heavy metal/arena rock blues you get on this track and its killer…Stephen Pearcy sounds great…You can’t complain…

8)”Garden Of Eden”-Another heavy track off of Infestation which everyone should enjoy once listening to it…Great guitar tiffs…Excellent vocals all around…

9)”Take A Big Bite”-The shortest song off of Infestation barely 2:50 long…Despite being short its excellent…Good vocals…Great guitars…You can’t ask for more…

10)”Take Me Home”-You can call this one a high tempo power rock ballad if there is such a term…This hopefully will be released as a single to radio…It sounds like a hit..

11)”Don’t Let Go”-The albums final track gives you another great arena rocker…

Overall I rank this record an 8 out of 10…Hopefully when the band tours in support of this record they will play at least half the record live…There is probably too many good songs to choose from to play live…
