Ya know many Indie labels out there sign tons of bands that really never make an impact, yet the bands are good but just don’t get enough exposure. I’ll have to congratulate the Italian label Street Symphonies for not going out and signing a multitude of bands just to get recognition. They are more about quality instead of quantity and it shows by the artists they sign.

Their new signing is SKULL DAZE, an Italian band that can blast shit off the walls with the power they posses. These guys get down and dirty (and sleazy) with their debut self-titled release on Street Symphonies.

The album starts off with a short intro with sirens screaming we are here and will be noticed. The first song “Back To Hell”; a dark tune that has some heavy down-tuning with dual guitarists Acey Starlight and Danny Slade showing some star quality. Vocally, Johnny Rainbow is reminiscent of early days TRIXTER meets Ron Keel.

“Nothin’” the second track is exciting, classic rock at its finest. You can’t deny these guys are young yet provide vintage memories of early daze rockers. They are smooth but hold the torch and you will hear that on “Heartbreak City”.

Just listening to the disc I get the cool vibe when I saw shows in New York City at the Cat Club in the eighties when bands were abundant and hairspray was a mainstay. Power chords, great stage wear and kick ass stage presence, not to mention great tunes! SKULL DAZE brings the goods to the masses and I hope the music community supports these guys. I mean they make the grade with bands like VAIN, KEEL, QUIET RIOT and many others. I love these guys and I’m sure you will to if this is your thing.

The dual guitars are simply amazing and the songs… the songs just ‘jump at you’ good. “Turn It Down” will be a crowd pleaser with the anthem style vibe and will rejuvenate any lame concert crowd. These guys are exciting if you like true sleaze and are the real deals. You will love the whole package of SKULL DAZE.

Man, just listen to “Beware”, as just the structure of the song pumps big time!!!! And you haven’t heard anything until you reach my favorite track (which there are many) but “Dirty Girl”… Oh shit, this is a KILLER tune that will send you over the edge. Play it LOUD!!!!!! Make sure your neighbors know SKULL DAZE fucking rock! Johnny Rainbow, you da man!!!! Listen to that chorus yeah there ya go….

These guys are going to light the fire so get ready for SKULL DAZE!!!! Get this fucking CD!
