You would think having started a music career in the early eighties you would have given up hope and changed careers, maybe being a male stripper with some heavy duty eyeliner and a bit of lipstick since it was the glam era. The legendary Steevi Jaimz who fronted TIGERTAILZ you would have thought has calmed down by now but to the contrary, he hasn’t at all and you can hear that on his new upcoming release “My Private Hell”. Steevi sent over an advance of the CD so we could check it out and let me tell you, this guy is motivated with the raw sounds of a ghetto-blaster sounding the alarms.

The release date is May 25th through Cargo/SCS Records UK and I would say to date this is the most explosive CD Steevi has released. The album was written, performed and produced in Sweden with Chris Laney and Anders Ringman aka PLATFORM (CRASHDIET, EUROPE, CANDLEMASS) and mixed at Polar Studios (ABBA) in Stockholm, Sweden during 2008.

With the opening track “Amazing” it is evident that the KISS influence flows through the blood of many with Jaimz being no exception. “Amazing” definitely has the Paul Stanley vibe and rips through some great choruses and incredible background vocals. “Don’t Say It’s Over” is classic and could be a front runner as a single as listening you get the full effect of the dedication put into this record and check out the hidden keyboards that gives the track some body. Chris and Anders do some amazing guitar work and the background vocals again do it for me, not mention KING JAIMZ being the center piece!

Getting a little melodic as with “Something Good Something Bad” is always a good thing and this tasty little gem will set you on a tailspin. Lay down your guns because the next two tracks “Still Crazy” and “Little Sistah” are heavy hitters. Check out the VAN HALEN flare on “Little Sistah”.

Let’s calm down now and lay back and hear a phenomenal rock ballad “I Don’t Wanna Walk Away” that should raise some eyebrows especially with the opening piano which shows the class act Jaimz is. This should attract fans of KISS and DANGER DANGER for sure.

Right back at ya with the last track “Kikk It Down”… the track has the arena feel and is the heaviest song on the record and should make it to hard rock radio with its slashing guitar and heavy drum sounds. It’s a great heavy ending to a superb CD by Steevi Jaimz and one that should be added to your collection. Don’t forget the date… It’s May 25th!!!
