I got my first listen to Teri while setting up my Facebook. She was a friend of a friend and mentioned she was a musician. I tuned into her Myspace and I liked what I heard. The next thing I knew I had a CD in the mail and spent the next 3 weeks listening to it in order to do a review. Unfortunately, I really listen to any CD that I review. I like listening to it in different moods, different atmospheres… Well anyway, the first thing I noticed about this collection of songs, it reminded me of everything I loved about the Eighties. Great hooks, great vocals, and story songs. I like story songs. BON JOVI was great at making story songs. The saga of ‘Tommy and Gina’ made it into a few… and especially the fact this CD is great to drive to (as long as you can avoid the Police)!

Vocally, Teri has an earthy soulful voice. I love it when a singer can put such feeling into a song that you not only hear their connection to the song, but you can also hear their enjoyment in performing the song. You can hear the fun in this CD and Teri’s performance brings the fun straight to your ears. I enjoyed listening to each and every track. Starting the CD is a fun song to sing along to"Rock Hard,” I have listened to this song a few times be-bopping down the turnpike. I know those truckers must think I am some kind of nut. But I don’t care; if the music moves me not much can stop me from moving.

One of the unique things about this CD are the different sounds and moods that some of the intro’s produce."Drop Ya Like A Bad Habit”,"I Can Never Dance Enough”,"Roll Them Bones,”"Heartbreak Hall of Fame” and"Out of Control” all have thought provoking intros challenging you to figure out what instrument is that?! There is no need to worry however, once the songs start; there is no doubt to the rock origins of these tunes.

And with most Eighties CD’s there has to be that ballad *Power Ballad* and this CD is no exception."Home is where the heart is", Nice little song, and great for showing the listener Teri’s soulful voice.

Overall, this is a nice listen, and I can’t wait to hear more things from Teri Tims. Check it Out!
