And you thought it was safe to go out, I don’t think so! The re-energized demon from hell has risen once again. WRATH OF KILLENSTEIN is thirsty for blood and demands total attention. The band started back in 2000 and with Goth metal and industrial fans crawling back from hell he has called on his legions to regroup and force the hands to hold tight for the resurrection of the new W.O.K. release "St. 7000" which will be out shortly.

In the meantime to calm the hail storm KILLENSTEIN has released a special edition of their self titled CD. The enhanced CD includes three videos and two live bonus tracks. Don’t think the WRATH has gone dormant he has been working franticly on the new release and also adorned the track “Igniisis Dance” to the Brutal Legend video game plus the band has begun filming the new video for "UGLY" one of the tracks off the upcoming "St. 7000".

You ask why are they releasing their self titled CD for the third time (once in 2000 again in 2006 changing the title to “MMVI” and now again in 2010) and calling it enhanced? I can tell you the first version in 2000 was only a demo that was released for promotion purposes. The 2006 version was a good release and could have done a lot better with sharper production and now in 2010 hearing the tracks as an enhanced CD that includes live tracks and videos could finally make the difference.

Let’s have a listen; first off I loved the production and the crisp sound compared to the other versions. “The Raptus” is phenomenal with crystal clear production. It really does make the difference with the superior mixing and mastering. Some of the tracks that I thought were sub par in one 2000 and 2006 release explode on the 2010 release. One of my favorite tracks on all three KILLENSTEIN releases is “Whorella” with its fantastic bass lines and killer lead solos; musically it’s a masterpiece. Very much in the vein of Peter Steele but I also love the underlying background vocals on this track which are just amazing.

Behind a sonically enhanced CD and with the two live tracks and the three killer videos, it makes the past two releases look like burnt offerings. If you had to pick up the real WRATH OF KILLENSTEIN CD this is it and it’s only $10. Maybe if I kiss ass enough I can get that “headgear” from Killenstein for my memorabilia gallery! But seriously the quality is far superior and worth the money.
