Ah, the beautiful UK and the unheard sounds of tropical music. You ask me what tropical music is? Well to tell you the truth I really don’t know but MOUNT‘s MySpace site says that’s what they play.

For me the opening track “Hassle” feels like I was injected with some supernatural drug bringing me back to a time of the flower-power age with Jimi Hendrix and THE DOORS. Tons of reverb making me quiver, but the bright spot was guitarist Chris, that enchants the tune.

Track-two “Crows” should be shot, the vocals were under mixed and hard to hear as the music over-shadowed Matt’s vocals. To say the least, the music was pretty good and once and again Chris, bassist Rich and drummer Al did a fine job.

The last track “Garden” might be the best of the three, as with or without the drugs all I can think of is the movie “Apocalypse Now”. So turn the lights off, turn on your blue light and let the meditation herbs begin to take effect.

MOUNT is not bad; my review is just a feeling I got listening to the tracks. The musicians are pretty good and so are the vocals when you can hear them, so check these guys out, maybe they’re for you.
