Ok we have known these guys for sometime, back in 2004, we reviewed their demo—we gave them a good response. Then they were back again in 2005, with “All Wrongs Reversed” which bombed. Now here they are back in 2007, with a new four-track demo, let’s see if they can bounce back.
The opening track, "European Suicide Bombers" a cover song originally written & performed by the TRASHCAN DARLING; SLOWPANIC SWEETHEARTS kick up their heels and do a fine job reminding me of the great days of new wave.
This demo really is a great flashback when dad had his Capezio’s, spandex and leopard skin shirt going out on the town hoping to pick up chicks. Fast music, British wave style just having a great time… and end up going home yourself, but you still getting to hear some good tunes and that’s what you will get on the new 2007 demo from SLOWPANIC SWEETHEARTS. The highlight track is “Hide Behind the Sky” which was an old song that has been renovated by the band.
I enjoyed all the songs on this one; the band is currently working on a new CD, good luck guys.
