Glam, sleaze, and rock - you never can let your guard down playing rock music but many called glam bands posers, copy bands and even fags but the truth is good music, no matter what you like, is good music. Europe and mainly Sweden is flourishing with some of the best bands in this genre lately. Not only sleaze but good down to earth rock music, the Swedes have mastered one of the biggest elements in writing music and that’s harmonies. I grant you many other have that same flare but not like the Swedes.
One of the latest arrivals is TRASHQUEEN, Yeah they play rock but in a different way, sounding more like classic rock brought up to the modern times. The opening track “Shot Through The Heart” starts off rocking but they completely change direction with “We Will Meet Again”, which is a phenomenal ballad. As I mentioned in the beginning these guys are a different breed of rock and they show that with this sophisticated track which makes the disc a keeper. Andy Sinner might have the look of a sleaze rocker but shows class with his vocal style. He can hit the high notes as you will hear on “Raw Love” and as A.J. takes center stage laying down his licks, I hear screams of orgasms from the chicks in the background!
Ending the disc is “Heartbreaks”; a fast-paced track that tares it up. All in all, all four tracks are good and with a little bit better production this would be a killer release.
