After the release of “Advance and Vanquish” back in 2004, what more can you ask for from 3 INCHES OF BLOOD. Well the new CD “Fire Up The Blades” produced by Joey Jordison of SLIPKNOT is making a stand and this could be one of the better metal releases in 2007.

3 Inches Of Blood can draw comparisons vocally to Halford but with guitars blazing speed Shane Clark and Justin Hagberg bring the six-strings to an amazing climax of mega gods. Just think of vintage METALLICA, EXODUS and other thrash gods and stir in some JUDAS PRIEST, these guys shred like you never heard before. “Trial of Champions” is one helluva great tune that should turn the knob to eleven.

I am not sure if 3 Inches Of Blood can keep the pace up with non-stop touring & recording, but the luxury is to be held in the hands of the fans who buy “Fire Up The Blades”. “Forest King” will pump the veins with adrenaline like steroids building your body, but be careful of the after-effects--a shrinking membrane, but who cares as long as your neck is snapping to the tunes.

The songs are overcoming with full force and the metal is flowing with screaming guitars and Cam Pipes chords. If ACCEPT and Udo kept the stream of metal going they would sound just like “The Great Hall of Feasting” a simply song that exhumes the raw sound that bound the history of metal.

“Infinite Legions” will hit home with KING DIAMOND fans, yet a little harder edged and thrashing but full of underlying killer riffs of demon metal. “Fire Up The Blades” is much heavier than the last 3 INCHES OF BLOOD release “Advance and Vanquish” but with raised fists the Blood is flowing once again.

Pick the new CD up on Roadrunner records and check it out for yourselves!!!
