Three time Los Angeles Music Award Nominee and recipient of the Indie Single of the Year plus being in the top 20 most played unsigned artists on myspace.com Alicia Marie has it all in stride. Bellowing with sentimental ballads to kicking up her heels and rocking out rockers “Smoke and Mirrors” has it all. Ronnie Borchert produced and has written tracks for this one and had his hand in slamming the strings. Alicia has a hint of ‘the pop princess’ type vocals yet much more diverse, hooking up the multi-talented Borchert can’t hurt either… I’m just a little surprised with all the projects, releases and keeping a hidden secret, the man has time for another project. This is an album that is balanced with great tracking from tear jerking tunes like “Crying On The Inside” to power punch rockers like “Painting Your Faces.”

I have been checking around the net and I see Ms. Marie is getting no respect with any kind of reviews or promotion, well a good friend of ours asked could we help out with some press. It was a honor to review this CD as I am not going to sit here and tell you it is one of the best CD’s I’ve heard but by far from the worst. The CD has some great tunes with great vocal range and a minx singing. Alicia has a bright future and is on the right track for success. The lyrical arrangements are excellent and with the rapport and the seductive voice of Marie I see her only reaching great heights as her music progresses.
