Tapping on the edges of rock and progressive is a very fine line but the New Jersey based DAYS BEFORE TOMORROW shoot the gambit of directional turns.

I listen to tons of music but DBT take music to another level. Atmospheric, rock, progressive whatever music you want to call it DBT meshes expertise musicianship to perfection. The opening track “Lighters” is an amazing song with a tasteful style of STYX/ Dennis DeYoung yet has hints of progression.

Track 2 “Wrong” has a U2 vibe and the harmonies reach a higher plateau of success. Bands that come to mind while listening are PORCUPINE TREE, DREAM THEATER, YES, Early GENISIS and STYX along with that U2 vibe. I can’t say enough about DBT being innovators of experimental changes.

You get some tantalizing piano and thriving bass lines from Rob "Zeek" Maziekien Jr. that would make Stanley Clarke take a step back, the dual guitar wizardry of Scott Kahn and Derek Davodowich and phenomenal vocals by Eric Klein. This is one class act with exceptional talent.

The Sky Is Falling” is not your typical CD; it’s a journey through time as with a PINK FLOYD release. You really have to sit back and enjoy the ride of your life with acoustic blends that enhance the flavor of each tune.

The disc was produced by industry legend Ron Nevison (LED ZEPPELIN, THE WHO, HEART, EUROPE, and KISS) and mixed by Grammy-award winning engineer Earl Cohen (Pink, Cindy Lauper, Tina Turner,).

Check the pipes of Eric Klein on “Your Kate”; talk about range, this guy is killer. It would be hard for me to pick a highlight song but I would have to say “Lighters” or “Wrong” are strong contenders. This is a great release to escape in your own little world and dream but watch out for the quick turns as these class musicians take it one-step further.

Guest musicians include their former band mate Jason Buchwald and classical pianist Huub Douma to round out the bands’ sound on the disc.
