With the staggering amount of good bands coming out of Sweden other countries are now looking towards Sweden as a new entity. Sweden is the leading the charge with glam, metal and AOR but the hidden gem that’s been a mainstay is death and thrash.9

DECEPTION with former members of C.O.D. and MOSHPIT has risen to bring a new body of life to the music scene of Sweden. Crunching power chords, annihilating bass lines and powerful vocals release the flow of hardcore fast-paced metal.

The opening track “Break The Silence” sends flashback memories of past greats to the domain of hell. These guys rip it up and with the slicing guitar work by Peter Engström and Oscar Pettersson as they are sure to turn heads.

Track two, “Bury The Sinner”, has a melodic side but still holds true to the hard-edged music style which streams from the bellows of traditional metal. These guys are power packed In the style of another favorite Swedish band BRUTALIATOR.

Track three, “Fragile” is another fast-paced track that flows to perfection. Daniel Färninger’s vocals are raw and fit the mold of DECEPTION to perfection. There is sure to be some neck snapping going on at live shows with horns in the air.

Ending the disc is “Make A Deal With The Reaper” and it really highlights drummer Markus Norlén and bass master Fredrik Färninger. But what brings the tune to life is the powerful mixture of talented vocals and blazing guitars.
