For the uninitiated, this is not a current album (in the common sense of issue) but a sonic barrage of revamped classics given a new lease on life. Destruction, those Teutonic Wehrmacht's of Germanic Thrash have not necessarily ditched the 'ol musky and patch embroidered denim jackets but merely washed them, hung them to dry and reaped the results of eliminating many years of accumulated grit. The result-a tank rolling over, smashing the decrepit bones of millions of past memories and seeing what rewards a scorched earth can bring. “Bestial Invasion” tears open the abscess like the hand of fate discouraging the healing process, whilst even older send-ups such as "Mad Butcher" and "Reject Emotions" resemble a phalanx of world war I soldiers resurrected, but this time technologically advanced and brandishing machine guns dressed with laser scopes.

Most impressive though is the fantasy turned reality of great songs with poor production transmogrified (as if alchemical) into even better ones with exquisite recording values. Schmier's vocal exhortations are salaciously crisp as are Mike's trill happy fret treks. The bass is nearly inaudible (Hey, this is Thrash after all!) and Marc's wood-shreds are like cylinder pumping pistons allowing this Thrash machine its ear wrenching reign. The compositions are similar to an old Smith and Wesson reinstated with newly improved mechanical innards then shined to a sparkling polish for good measure just before the kill renders them guilt ridden and bloody once again. After all, to fully annihilate the plethora of thrashers transverse the moshpit battleground one does need proper artillery.

Every track is incendiary (stellar even) but amongst the shining beacons from days of yore are "Death Trap" and of course the obligatory inclusion of "Curse the Gods" both from the 1986 speed metal milestone "Infernal Overkill”. Two new cuts (to the jugular) "Profanity" and "Deposition (Your Heads Will Roll)" kick as a much ass as a bronco gone berserk on his tormentor and the surprise rebirth of "Cracked Brain" with the rightly reclaimed Schmier banshee wail manning it's Hippocratic Bay area inspired 'helms does no less than totally enthrall… Are you still sitting there??  Get off your raunchy duff and get this motherfucker… NOW!!!!!!!!
