Hailing from the land of upstate New York, GIZMACHI will release their debut CD, "The Imbuing," May 3 on Big Orange Clown Records, an imprint of Sanctuary Records. "The Imbuing" was produced by M. Shawn Crahan, engineered by Josh Wilbur, and recorded at Spin Studios in New York City. The band recently filmed the video for their first single “The Answer" in New York. The video was directed by Crahan and produced by Doug Spanenberg (Lamb of God). The band is currently on tour with Slipknot. Let's get down to the music. Hardcore metal trickling through some melodic background vocals is the sound of Gizmachi. Not my style of vocals but the music can take you on a path to mystery. They have a hallow sound with heavy overtones. Fits right in with the Slipknot crowd, lots of shouts and down beat guitar can sum up Gizmachi. The vocals on “Wandering Eyes” are a change in vocal style with more understandable singing. Hardcore fans will take delight in the debut of Gizmachi. Check Gizmachi out at the New England Metal fest on April 24th, 2005.
