Sweden’s Grave FlowerS recently released an eleven track full-length CD on the Firebox Records label, which is only their second, with hopefully, with many more to follow.

The opening song “At Night” starts off with a great melody, slow piano, and the heavenly sound of a church choir -- until vocalist Matte Andersson enters. Matte’s vocals are a mixture of old time vintage and the new wave style of ULTRAVOX.

“Fear of Future” brings out the acoustic guitar and even though all the vocals are slow, Matte still captures your focus like Neil Young would with his uncanny vocals. All the songs are good but downbeat.

Though the music is lacking in energy, it more than makes up for it with its power to make you think and reflect. This is a good CD.

Check out track eight “Cold Despair” This is one of the pure highlight songs on “Incarcerated Sorrows”.
