Named one of the best new bands of 2007 on RockEyez.com GYPSY PISTOLEROS the Spanglish Outlaw Flamenco Sleaze Rockers from the UK have just released their new CD “Para Siempre”. These guys are a bunch of bad motherfuckers all with the same last name… Pistolero.
I really never heard a band like GYPSY PISTOLEROS, one that can bring so many genres and sounds together in one cohesive unit. Bringing past memories of punk, metal, rock mixed with the flare of flamenco. These boys are innovators and take the music to a new level of excitement. With the new CD hitting the market and the New Year just starting, I expect GYPSY PISTOLEROS to be on the lips on most music fans around the world, as they march to the beat of a different drummer.
This is in your face gutter rock at its finest, and you will hear that once you pick up the new CD “Para Siempre” on Bad Reputation records. The opening track “Shotgun Kiss Is Ay Que Dolor” will make you feel the energy that was once possessed by the infamous GUNS ‘N’ ROSES guitarist. Iggie Pistolero shows how volatile his strings can sound as he masterminds the guitar with his abrasive presences.
“Un Hombre Sin Rostro, Pistolero” will go down as the anthem for the PISTOLEROS. This is one song that will catch the ears of music fans. It has the adrenaline rush that will make you floor the gas pedal to full throttle until you hear the sirens. You have to crank this one so the neighbors can hear and the slight taste of trumpet and acoustic guitar are killer. I love this track!!! Iggie smokes! Slash watch out Iggie’s knocking.
My highlight track “Forever Is Para Siempre” is simple phenomenal, caressing your senses with a fantastic chorus, killer lyrics and is undoubtedly a mesmerizing tune and the nineteen-year-old Leeroy Pistolero bashing drums gives the song rocket power.
I know we haven’t got to the man himself, Lee J Pistolero; yeah Lee is a glowing star that will shed his skin and show the world how reckless GP is. This guy is like the Elvis of our time. I mean that is a little extreme but he is the core of GP and the way he can work his magic on lyrics will set fire to the music world.
You got check out “Una Para Todo Es Bandido” if you want diversity, starting off sentimental and mellow to jaw dropping. Then jumping right into a rendition of rock/punk style “Living La Vida Loca” Ricky could never rock out like these boys.
“Moonchild” is another song that shows what directional dysfunction GP can bring to the table. Like a true leopard changing its spots, GP is truly a magical band and if fans of different genres can catch the wave of the GYPSY PISTOLEROS with their melting pot of music, they will have endless boundaries to conquer. I feel GP has the potential to be the next big supergroup, bringing a new style of music to the world mixing English and Spanish lyrics and playing true in your face rock mixed with punk and flamenco with hints of trumpet and acoustic guitar.
