Another release from Sweden’s finest is right around the corner and this means that expectations are high.
They were brave enough to venture out in a complete different direction with “Into The Great Unknown” which I personally enjoyed tremendously, but seems like they’re going back to their original sound and this album in my opinion is the actual sequel to the bands breakthrough album “Address The Nation”.
HEAT always knows how to start off an album with a rocker that has the perfect combination of arena anthems and catchy choruses and “Rock Your Body” is no exception!
“Dangerous Grounds” starts off with a Deep Purple-style intro and turns into a HEAT trademark sound and chorus combo.
“Come Clean”, the third single from the album, happens to be my favorite song of the bunch. From start to finish this song has it all. From the powerful lyrics to the guitar riffs and solo and amazing drum work by maestro Crash , this song will get stuck in your head for days!
While the next two songs “Victory” and “We Are Gods” aren’t as strong as the rest of the selection, they’re still good enough to carry us to the next track “Adrenaline” which picks up the tempo and gives us another dose of the brilliance of these amazing musicians!
“One by one “ is another favorite that the band chose as their second single for this album.
Of course by now we would expect a ballad and the beautiful “Nothing To Say” showcases Mr. Grönwall’s powerful voice.
If I had to pick one song as my least favorite it would have to be “Heaven Must Have Won An Angel”. Don’t get me wrong it’s not a bad song. It just doesn’t deliver like the other 10 tracks do.
“Under The Gun” is another one of my favorites with its huge hooks and chorus.
The album finishes off with the first single “Rise” which everyone loved when it was released. It’s great to know that the music genre that we grew up with is still alive thanks to these gentlemen and other melodic rock bands who carry the torch. We are truly blessed to have a band like HEAT write and release great music!
