HELLBATS formed in 1997 out of France. The band plays a punk hard rock style, which has a basic chord with flare. They have catchy tunes and good melodies. They remind me of a heavier Stray Cats meets the Clash . It is really a unique sound. The production on the CD could be better. Most of the tracks are heavy on the reverb with distortion and very fast. If you like that style, well, this is a good CD to add to your collection. There is really no stand out tracks on the CD since they all seem to blend into one long song.
