Hailing from of Italy, HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES are not actually vampires but by listening to their latest release, they could prey on the music community with their down to earth, hard rockin’ tunes. Matt Tennent has a vocal style similar to that of Ray West (Spread Eagle) with the backlash of Dean Davidson (Britney Fox). I really like the energy in HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES.

“Loaded Soul” has great lyrics combined with hard harmonies and just the right amount of attitude to make this first track KILLER! The band’s hard-edge style comes out in their music and with “Greedy Train” they keep it rolling fast with the raspy vocals which will surely give HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES a trademark sound. “Lose Control” changes direction slightly mixing their hard-edged rock with a hint of blues… yet still containing those great riffs. “Fly There” is the final track on the CD and is just outstanding. It has the feel of Guns ‘n Roses with the Slash-style guitar work. I really like this band and I hope they have a long and successful future.

Long live the Vampires!!!
