European bands have a certain way of adding the flair of the sounds from their birthplace; and If is one of those bands. The production is not the greatest but I like the acoustic guitar by Dario Lastella on “Don’t Go” and “I Wish”. If tries to rock with “Blister” but the style of music they play does not do the band justice. They are a more precise sounding band ala Pink Floyd. “Sweet Friends” is a great tune that shows the ability of the band. The song is melodic and the flow of the guitar hooking up with the guest drummer Pietro Chimisso is fantastic. The vocals by Paolo De Santis are very laid back in the vein of Donovan. I really don’t see If making any kind of impact on the music world but they are a fine bar band.
