Sweden’s newest prodigy Last Amanda debut release is a sweet sound of alternative music with guitar work sounding like The Edge of U2. Their music is catchy and easy flowing. “Steal Time” has great balance really giving a U2 feel minus the vocals. Vocally Marten Larsson reminds me of Dave Mathews with a more pop sound.

The bands sound is exciting and should have no problem making an impression on fans. They mix melodic heavy harmonies over Larsson’s slow vocals on “Game Over” bringing a new dimension to the band. I like the arrangements of the tracks on the CD from power tunes to slow and soothing.

Last Amanda has a different vibe than the traditional alternative band because of The Edge sounding guitar work by Magnusson and Sandberg. The band has been pounding the circuit in California and has been on tour for almost a year or so and gathering a huge fan base. They should branch out to the Midwest and East Coast to reach a bigger fan base.
