Glam is the word from Sweden lately with the release of “Inhale and Get Pale” from the band LEADED FUEL. The CD seems to have attitude crossed with sleaze. Yea!
Songs like “Dirty Bitch” and The CD titled song “Leaded Fuel” have that attitude of old Stooges with good punk driven riffs like Iggy Pop. The CD has some good backing vocals, which you don’t find that often in a Glam band. “The band has rockers such as “Southern Belle” kind of reminds me of the GUNS ‘N ROSES tune “It’s So Sleazy”
Liz Lascivious, the lead singer (gotta love the name) is not afraid to grunt and spit out the lyrics! He definitely keeps things interesting. The band pumps out good rhythms that keep the blood flowing.
It is Glam at its peak. The guys got the look and attitude and get their music across with solid rocking tunes like “Hostage Situation”. John Priest and Dallas Chrome handle the entire guitar work while Andy Jones and Iron Kongo fatten the bottom out nicely.
Like I said the CD has attitude, although there are some redundant riffs. There is always something unique that LEADED FUEL puts into it. “Rip It Up is another catchy tune that has some cool riffs and that fist raising chant!
The boys have something good going on here and I bet it would be a real fun time to go and check them out live or have a few pints with them.
Give them a listen! I think there’s something cool about LEADED FUEL!
Rock On!
