Keyboard echoing, ivory keys of a concerto and don’t blink elevated thumping bass bringing a higher power called Leverage. Pekka Heino has mesmerizing Bon Jovi vibes and with the added power of dual guitar backing, you have combustion.

“Fifteen Years” is an exciting opening track and leaves you hoping the rest of the CD has that same remarkable sound. “Superstition” sure is no let down as the lyrical ability is shown off to perfection. Tuomas Heikkinen and Torsti Spoof tear it up with some amazing guitar solos throughout the entire CD and the keyboards by Marko Niskala just make the songs even brighter. “Dreamworld” is pulverizing in the way the power is uplifted as the band jumps an octave to highlight Niskala on the track.

“Tides” is a good CD that has all the right elements that you would want in a release. I lost a little interest during the middle of the CD starting with “Stranger.” “Stranger” had some clean acoustic guitar work and wasn’t a bad ballad but it just wasn’t as captivating as the first couple tracks were. The beginning of the “Tides” CD was much more powerful than the conclusion of this endeavor, as the tracks start on a downward spiral lowering the standard for what that would have been a great CD. Although the initial tracks on this CD still make it worth a listen.
