Back in 1992 when Lars and Kristian played in a band called FEAR ITSELF releasing 3 demos but having bigger things on their mind. They decided it was time for change and Manticora formed 1996. They started working together on a demo called “Dead End Solution”. A record deal was offered by Black Lotus Records and in 1998 they signed the deal. In 1999 Manticora released their debut CD “ROOTS OF ETERNITY". In 2001 they released "DARKNESS WITH TALES TO TELL,” 2002 "HYPERION" and in 2004 their latest release “8 Deadly Sins.” The new CD is an Epic CD with a story to be told. “King of the Absurd” has a feeling of the movie “King of Kings.” If Angels could sing they would sound like Lars.” Playing God” track two is fast paced speed metal still keeping Lars vocal style in check. Kristian’s playing is memorizing just a total all out blitz echoing of melodic music. “Melancholic” a track of operatic sounds that could be a theme sound track. The background vocals on this CD is totally outrageous some of the best I have heard. “Fall from Grace” the ballad from MANTICORA is a touch of class with added acoustic guitar and a metal balance. Check these guys out.
