Moonlight Agony was formed in 1999 in Sweden. Kalle and Robert decided to start a metal band. They teamed up with Christopher and played Helloween and Blind Guardian tunes. After some band changes and some demos 2004, Moonlight Agony signed a multi record deal with MASSACRE RECORDS, KING RECORDS, & NIGHTMARE RECORDS for distribution of the album in different geographical areas. 2004 MOONLIGHT AGONY releases “Echoes of a Nightmare”. Vocally Chitral reminds me of a hint of a power metal Ray West of SPREAD Eagle but Chital knows how to change vocal styles as in the song “Icy Plains.” “Echoes of a Nightmare” start with a child-like keyboard blistering into a heavy-duty power metal track. “Ceremony” is a roller coaster of a song, it has all different styles of music from a German beer house song, to a symphony, and you got to here it. “Equilibrium” is a total experience to listen to, lasting six minutes and eighteen seconds. I listened carefully to the vocals by Chitral he is amazing you can hear charisma in his voice. The last track “Vanished” leaves you with “I want more.” You get eight tracks of symphonic fast power metal.
