THE MORNING LIGHT is in a word amazing. They mixed rock with boy band and created a work of art. “The Sound of Love” EP is an album that I would go buy two copies of just because. Bobby Garver and Harrison Wargo’s vocals are smooth and calm with a hint of rocker. But, to get on to the music, all I have to say is it is phenomenal. “The Love” has melodic guitar and the piano enhances the song. The vocals and the lyrics are slightly boy band but, it attracts attention and causes you to want to sing along and feel for the boy, that Garver’s singing about. “You’re Not Mine” is a bit harder with harsher guitar from Colussy and tougher drums from Baxter. Garver comes out strong on this one and pulls you into the feelings he pushes into the music.

“A Safe Bet” starts off hard but evens into a medium –toned melody. Garver and Wargo belts this song out and you just want to sing along with the chorus as you learn the words. It’s a crowd pleaser that everyone would want to dance and sing along too. The song reminds me a little of the song “Face Down” by THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS since both girls have the same underlying problem and my keyword is ‘a little’.

“Books and Letters” is another upbeat tempo song that makes you want to move around in your chair and as I write about the song, I am dancing to it. The guitar and lyrics catch my attention most on this song. “Clouds” is another remarkable song that slows to a medium based tempo. The guitar, drums, piano and bass blend is utterly faultless together.

“The Sounds” blends the first five songs together with a little bit of extra added to it. The phenomenon which is THE MORNING LIGHT goes out with a bang by combining five great songs into one blowout track. This EP is amazing and brilliant and I know that THE MORNING LIGHT will be the next big thing. So, if you’re looking for the perfect mixture of boy band and rocker, look no further than THE MORNING LIGHT.
