Well, there is at least one thing you can say about NAUGHTY BOYS they have longevity. The band started in 1989, a replica DEF LEPPARD and it hasn’t stopped yet. Through many line-up changes over the years the band still managed a crop of songs and demo releases, even an “Anthology” CD with 18-tracks released in 2001; the NAUGHTY BOYS finally made the leap to a full-length album in 2007 called “R U Naughty Enough” on NR Records, Artist Worxx.

The look is different these days but I’m just wondering why these boys from Sweden were never really signed by a major label. By the sounds of the first track, NAUGHTY BOYS have perfected their sound and the music is straightforward rock n roll in the vein of WHITE LION with just as much kick. Mikael Sandvik’s vocals are similar to Mike Tramp of WHITE LION but more melodic adding a touch of keyboards… I like it.

The technical side of NAUGHTY BOYS is purely professional and you can hear how good these musicians are on the ballad “After The Rain” from the drum rolls by Jonas Ludvigsson to the classical piano by Morgan Valentin. By the standards of melodic rock, NAUGHTY BOYS are the cream of the crop that fans should jump on, the songs possess amazing killer riffs, choruses that are catchy and “R U Naughty Enough” is a pleasurable listening album. I am not sure how many times I have listened to CD but everytime I listen, I hear something I like even more.

You gotta check out “Bitter Tears” unbelievable, drawing comparisons to Mike Tramp and Don Henley and guitarist Hans Olsson sears with fluent licks of the great ones in the music biz. These guys hit you with hard rockers like “Is This Love” and ballads that will shed tears.

Soooo many great songs like “Like to Fly” blows me away. If you’re a fan of rock or melodic rock you have to check these boys out and buy yourself and early Christmas gift with this one. There is not one track on here that you will not like an amazing debut release by NAUGHTY BOYS.
