You know with the music scene is coming full circle as Eighties Rock and glam are making waves again; it sure is a pleasure seeing so many talented bands making a comeback. One such band is ONEY and with label interest at Retrospect Records we have ONEY’s second unreleased CD “Bust Em Down” that was recorded back in 91/92. I can feel the early KISS vibe coming out loud and clear, big drums and potent vocals make me shiver.

The opening track “Feeling All Right Now” is killer and still being recorded back in the day I can feel rejuvenation. Chuck sounds a bit like Ted Poley of DANGER DANGER and you know how he can kick it. Hey, what is Ace Frehley doing a guest spot? Nah, that’s Scott Carr with the axe and Frehley -ish chops. I like it!

I love that song “No Matter What” originally done by BADFINGER and ONEY does a helluva job. You gotta figure this was recorded about sixteen years ago and yet still holds the test of time. I can just imagine if this was the production and technology of today back then, this would be amazing! But I am willing to settle for this and with Retrospect Records and many others keeping those past days alive we applaud you!!! This is 100% better then having a warped or scratched record.

“Sweet Tequila” has the taste of a certain KISS tune, but I just can’t put my finger on it, check it out for yourself. ONEYstarts getting a little mellow with a great tune called “Don’t Break My Heart” and ending is the title track Bust ‘Em Down kinda VAN HALEN-ish with fast guitars and screams. Cool Track!

Well, this is a great flashback and well worth the few bucks, you need to buy it. Check these boys live this year at Rocklahoma on the Retrospect stage. Don’t miss their set.
