This is the third record from the German band created by the guitarist Alex Beyrodt (ex Sinner & Primal Fear ), and American born singer DC Cooper (ex Royal Hunt ). The first two records are more power metal “The empire of future” (2000) & “Infatuator” (2001), the new recording things have changed, this record is more melodic “World apart” in great way. Three years has past since their last record, In the meantime the members worked with other bands on different projects, and i think this was the reason of this change.

This record is like the European power metal, with bands like Gamma Ray & Stratovarius, but with melodies like Rainbow. The voice of DC Cooper seems to be more mixed with the melodies and the hard rock moments of the record, a positive point to Silent Force .

There are 12 songs, with a double kick, ambient songs, hard rocking melodies, heavy metal, keyboards, etc...Some songs are really power metal, like “Ride the storm”. “Iron hand” and "World apart" are easy going song,”, these two songs for me are the worst ones. There are other songs like “No one lives forever” the first single is for me the best song, hard rock ‘n with a great chorus, “Once again” this a song like any Stratovarius song off the last albums, with a happy melody and a great work of DC Cooper, two songs are like Yngwie's early days: “Heroes” & “Death comes in disguise”. “Heart attack” is a classic heavy metal song, with the greatest guitars and the typical keyboard line, and a hard rock ballad off the record is “Merry minstrel”. You will enjoy listening.
