Now I must first apologize to these fine women SCARLET SINS and here’s the reason why. Our site Rockeyez.com first came to birth back in Nov. 2004, starting out with only twelve hits of traffic per day and in 2005, we started to grow without any kind of staff.

SCARLET SINS sent me their demo in 2005, called “Reborn” with four of the five tracks making their new 2007 full-length release which we are about to review. By the time we got their demo we were getting overwhelmed by different artists, “Reborn” got caught in the shuffle, and it never was reviewed. So my apologies go out to them.

That did not stop these women to push even harder to shove their new CD in my face and to tell you the truth when I heard a couple tracks it was our pleasure to do so. Pulsating and downright nasty right off the bat “Let Go” hits hard with power of blowing speakers as the levels on my equalizer goes erratic. They bring it hard with slicing guitar by Cristina Bishop with crunching licks reminiscent of DISTURBED's Don Donegan.

Sylvia Nuvynska vocals are not your typical female style that seems to turn off the male ego but kicks it into high gear and the throttle of the male ego will be diminished and the necks will be snapping. You think just because these women are picture perfect they can’t rock, well you will be completely stunned. I know a lot of female rockers don’t get noticed because they go more on looks than brains (There goes my friggin’ male bias shit) I was totally impressed. Check out the softer side on “With You” still holding the raw edge yet could raise the golden touch of success.

Kind of saying (‘I am pretty and nice but I can still kick your ass’). The thundering bass lines by Tanya Nicklaus are killer and with the mid-section of the drums by Elie Bertrand hook up together it has the power to exhume the dead. This is the first all women band in a long time that has the ability set new standards and anyone reading this should jump aboard the bandwagon. “Strangelove” is another amazing tune that just beats you down and you will finally submit to these women because they have it going on.

Please listen to “Are You Worth It” shivers of greatness. I know I will get shit from my other male ego writers but the truth is the truth these are the best women in rock right now. From start to finish there is not one filler tune, every song has impact that could bring fame. Short of breathe and try not to hyperventilate because SCARLET SINS has the BALLS to rock your world.
