The first thing you notice is a sweet sensation of eye candy called Emma Shade. Usually a band not only looks for a good singer but also a sexy seductive
front women just to get attention, but in this case SHADE has a front women that can do all the above and more.
Vocally Shade has the pipes of Shania Twain with a bit more rock. The opening track “It’s Alright” is a great introduction to the band with hooks and mellowing tones that show the vocally ability Shade possesses.
“One Way Line” will have the attraction of drawing legions from many genres’ from rock, easy listening and country where they will have a chance to make an impact. The CD has great production with arrangement by both Gardner and Moore ex-DARE members with songs written by all three members.
The songs are very poppish and are extremely catchy but lack the knock out punch song that will be on the lips of new fans. I’m not saying at all this is not a good CD, it’s very good but just don’t have longevity to make it a classic release. Even the title track “One Way Line” starts off great and gets lost in the mix of the other tracks.
Now getting down to track ten “Waiting For You” is one of my favorite tracks, it starts off with good rhythm and has more pop and is also one of the more vibrant songs than the balance of this CD. I hope their sophomore release will add a little heavier tone or they will get lost in the shuffle of other artists.
