Shadowdance, local talent from Philadelphia, PA just sent us a release that came out in 2003 called “Another Look.” The band has been going through some group member changes and are working hard on new material as we speak.
The four-track EP they sent us has some good tracks that allow you to get familiar with the band as they set out on a new venue. “Hollow” opens the CD with rip shredding guitar by Carlos Alverez and the vocals by George Eliassen will blow you away. The mix of this song can bring Power and Goth fans together. “Justified” another great tune, has excellent guitar work (speed metal style) with the melodic vocals of Mr. Eliassen. The last track “Line in the Sand” starts off with mellow Arabian style keyboards and slow vocals. The song has a darker feel than the rest of the CD. Unfortunately, it is bit dragged out.
If the band can stay together, we might have a decent US power metal band, which is hard to find these days.
