After reviewing SHANNON’s “World Of Desire” in ‘06 I knew these guys were special and with their new release “Angel In Disguise” just on the market I knew we would have to check it out.

Bone crunching and melodic, conjuring up bands like SAXON and BONFIRE is just one comparison coming to mind. Vocal power of Claus Lessman and even hitting notes of Brian Johnson, Olivier Del Valle shreds a versatile magical voice. Del Valle is smooth and charismatic and has the chords that can reach melodic and metal fans.

Listening to the first two tracks SHANNON gives the vibe of many classic tunes by the riveting riffs of Patrice Louis sounding like Rudolf Schenker. “Hungry For Love” is a power packed enjoyment that will have fans running for the disc. It has a great chorus and is just a phenomenal tune overall.

Just check out how good these guys are using layering on dual vocals and harmonies that will just blow you away. SHANNON is a class act that can write killer tunes with the drop of a dime. Every song has the catchy hooks with shearing guitar. Take a listen to “No Better Times” and see if you can hear the slight comparison to AC/DC.

If you are looking to hear a sensual sentimental ballet “On & On” will do the trick, it’s a caressing tune that will have the women only a touch away. All about how women break guys heart. Olivier Del Valle does a fantastic job and the guitar work by Patrice Louis is killer.

“Angel In Disguise” is an AOR melodic dream all the songs are hooked filled and pound the hearts of true rockers. Just another great release by SHANNON.
