Sin is not just another basic power metal band. Their CDhas the opening track “Nail it to the Wall,” which you can hear the influence of Dokken. It has a European flare that has high-powered guitars and keyboards in the mix. The dual guitars of Deddy Andler and Wolfgang Frank give good dimension and the ambiance of melodic balance between the two.
Jason Marks has good range and gives the reminiscent sounds of Don Dokken along with Jon Bon Jovi. “It’s Forever” is one of the best tunes. It has releasing power metal chords and flowing keyboards. When the entrance of Marks powerful vocals, hooks up with Michael Voss (Casanova) makes the song burst in sensation! “Walk Away” slows things down with a sentimental ballad about lost love being over.
I really enjoyed the little bit of Spanish style guitar in the middle of the track. Sin bounces right back into it with “Fight for My Life” with hints of Firehouse and Queensryche. Entering your mind is a little Kiss (“Tears are Falling”) vibe.
Sin knows how to end a CD with the heaviest track “Winding Road” which brings me back to the early days of a New York metal band called Hittman and Dirk Kennedy. “Equilibrium” is a must for your collection.
