You know this kind of pisses me off how can a band like SKYRIDE go under the radar and being missed by me of all people. SKYRIDE started back in 2005 releasing one demo in 2006 called “Join the Ride” with three tracks two of which are on the new SKYRIDE CD. The band resides in Falun, Sweden and can kick ass with the best of em’. I really didn’t know what to expect but when I popped the CD in the car player my foot hit acceleration.

You know you don’t find bands like this that explode with magic and SKYRIDE surpass the typical metal-head music. It’s an adventure going from CRASHDÏET to MANOWAR and on to RAVEN. Maybe this is just a dream but have I reached the heavens because these guys are true star quality.

The opening tune “Rage And Rampage” with some of the best harmonies I’ve heard the music is strong and the sound quality is unbelievable. Anthems throughout the entire CD make this a virtual masterpiece. I mean SKYRIDE gives props to all the members letting them share in the glory. You sure do get a taste of every instrument highlight on the opening track “Rage and Rampage”.

“Heaven” brings out the heavy hitters with a highflying sense of IRON MAIDEN meets CRASHDÏET. I hate to compare but Erikssonhas his own vocal style but he has essences of Dave Lepard (RIP). The guitars by Christian Johansson are phenomenal and clean.

Drums Riccy Rockstar, Bass Björn Lundqvist, Guitar Christian Johansson, rhythm Tobias Tångfelt now gimme some vocals Christian Eriksson let’s rock “Shotgun Show” Killer Vocals outstanding, chills run down my spine as I hear these boys rock out. I love the presences SKYRIDE deliver and if you’re looking for a rush get this CD. Man Christian Johansson guitar is smoking on this one.

“Skyride” another track that has a vibe of THE SCORPIONS meets CRASHDÏET, how can you go wrong these boys are STARS. If you’re looking for heavy Def Leppard harmonies, killer guitar licks like you never heard before and a vocalist that can turn heads you gotta catch the wave of SKYRIDE.

I would say one of the things I really like besides everything is that SKYRIDE gives every member a chance to shine on the CD. This is a true rock record that ends in style with “Rock n Roll Youth” kinda of a SCORPIONS type rock ballad. KILLER, KILLER, KILLER!!! Please get this CD and support these boys, its amazing!!!
