You know with all the artists that are out there and many giving up on their dream SUBURBIA keeps plugging away at stardom. We first heard of the band back in 2006 when we reviewed their CDSongs For A Perfect Mixtape that put these guys on the map as they make their mark in music. They are back in 2008, with "Crash", with five new tracks and 6 bonus acoustic tracks.

SUBURBIA sounds like a mixing pot of many bands but has essences of Dave Mathews and THE REMBRANDTS. The opening track “Nothing Changing” has some great lyrics and catchy hooks that should stir the pot of music fans. Track two “Sleep” is an amazing tune that has class and will be easy for the kiddies to sing along to.

It doesn’t stop there “The Best of Me” brings out the harmonies and an AOR dream. The song is mellow with a good chorus that drives this song to the top. The music is simply amazing with the dual guitars of Magnus Sorensen and Ulrik Hedin. Sorensen vocals are caressing and you will be drawn by the surrounding aura of pop music that is set forth by SUBURBIA.

“Coming Home” has a more alternative sound with the guitar riffs and subtle keyboards. Once again Sorensen vocals just jump out at you as you want to sing along, lots of pop and AOR vibe going on here.

You like Rick Springfield well you will love “Revolve” which is the highlight track, what a killer tune. These boys sure do know how to write great hooks and good music.

The thing I really liked about “CRASH” is that with the bonus tracks you had the chance to compare an acoustic track to a plugged in version. SUBURBIA did that with two songs “Revolve” and “Sleep” and to me both were great. You guys kicked it up on this one, this is a CD to be added to your collection, pick it up.
